“I will be marching from the home of an outspoken leader who led our country through difficult times to the office of one who has not shown up when it comes to issues that affect our community,” said Ryan. “The weapons of war that I carried for 27 months in Iraq should not be on our streets and in our schools.”

Congressional Candidate Pat Ryan to Lead 30-Mile March to Demand Action on Gun Violence, will march from the home of FDR to John Faso’s Office in Kingston

Kingston, NY – Pat Ryan announced that on Saturday, June 16th, he will lead a 30-mile march from the home of President Franklin Roosevelt in Hyde Park to John Faso’s District Office in Kingston to demand action from our leaders to end gun violence. He will be partnering with New Yorkers Against Gun Violence and Hudson Valley Stands Up, a student-led activist organization. Pat will be accompanied by numerous local elected officials, community leaders and high school students as he marches along the thirty mile route.

“Throughout history, people have marched to bring attention to injustice and stand up for what they believe in.” said Ryan. “I was inspired by the high school students in this district and around the country who have said enough is enough. That’s why I held a town hall meeting to discuss gun violence when John Faso would not address our community, and that is why my campaign has focused on banning assault weapons and standing up to the NRA and Donald Trump.”

“I will be marching from the home of an outspoken leader who led our country through difficult times to the office of one who has not shown up when it comes to issues that affect our community,” said Ryan. “The weapons of war that I carried for 27 months in Iraq should not be on our streets and in our schools.”

Pat Ryan, who was designated as a “Gun Sense Candidate” by Moms Demand Action and endorsed by the Pride Fund to End Gun Violence, is asking that donations be made to gun violence safety organizations during the march.
