“As a lifelong ally and proud supporter of the LGBTQ community, I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Pride Fund to End Gun Violence. This issue is deeply personal to me – both as a combat veteran and the son of a school teacher.

“I’m committed to keeping weapons of war off our streets and guns out of the hands of people who should not have them. I’m proud to stand side-by-side with the Pride Fund to prevent gun violence, promote equality, and ensure the safety of the LGBTQ community.”

Congressional Candidate Pat Ryan Endorsed by the Pride Fund to End Gun Violence, an LGBTQ Gun Policy Reform Organization

Kingston, NY – Today congressional candidate Pat Ryan received an endorsement from the Pride Fund to End Gun Violence. The Pride Fund to End Gun Violence is America’s only LGBTQ organization solely focused on gun policy reform to ensure safety for all.

“As a lifelong ally and proud supporter of the LGBTQ community, I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Pride Fund to End Gun Violence. This issue is deeply personal to me – both as a combat veteran and the son of a school teacher. I’m committed to keeping weapons of war off our streets and guns out of the hands of people who should not have them. I’m proud to stand side-by-side with the Pride Fund to prevent gun violence, promote equality, and ensure the safety of the LGBTQ community,” said Pat Ryan.

Jason Lindsay, Army veteran and Pride Fund Executive Director, announced the endorsement and his support for Pat:

“Pride Fund is thrilled to endorse Pat Ryan to represent New York’s 19th Congressional District. As an Iraq War veteran, Pat is well-versed in the policy of the gun safety debate and knows that assault weapons are designed with the sole purpose of killing human beings as efficiently as possible. As a combat veteran who has seen the damage of these firearms firsthand, I agree wholeheartedly with Pat that assault weapons have no place on America’s streets. Pride Fund looks forward to working with Pat once he is elected to pass common sense gun reforms that will make America a safer place to live for all citizens,” said Lindsay.

Pat Ryan is a native of Kingston, NY and a West Point graduate. He served two combat tours in Iraq, and returned home to start two businesses to deliver better technology to our troops overseas. Pat resides in Gardiner, NY, with his wife, Rebecca.
