Veteran and Businessman Pat Ryan Slams Faso’s Vote For Devastating Spending Bill
Kingston, NY – Veteran and Businessman Pat Ryan (NY-19) released the following statement on Rep. Faso’s vote for the FY 2018 Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education appropriations bill:

“Today, Rep. Faso voted for a spending bill that has devastating consequences for his constituents in NY-19. This bill takes away funding for key components of the Affordable Care Act, causing premiums to skyrocket for families in our district; strips Title X funding for Planned Parenthood, which helped provide essential health services like cancer screenings; and eliminates funding for programs that help people in the district get a quality and affordable education, like teacher training programs and Pell Grants.
“This is just the latest example of Rep. Faso voting for the interests of his party at the expense of hardworking families in NY-19. I’m running to protect families in the district from crippling health care premiums, to ensure women have access to affordable health services, and to give more people access to education that will help them get good jobs.”
Pat Ryan is a native of Kingston, NY and a West Point graduate. He served two combat tours in Iraq, and returned home to start two businesses to bring better technology to our troops overseas. Pat is running for Congress in New York’s 19th congressional district, and resides in Gardiner, NY, with his wife, Rebecca.
